Programmer’s note:
“Beyond the Shreks and Finding Nemos of Hollywood lies a world of animation as exciting and diverse as any we’ve seen since the underground boom of the 1960s and whose roots travel back to Fantasia, Norman McClaren, Oskar Fischinger and beyond. This is the world of music video animation. Some of these videos are abstract and some tell a story, but all want to inject images into your brain while your ears are buzzin’ and your toes are a-tappin’. In these days of YouTube and Video iPods, we now have access to millions of music videos. In fact everything shown here tonight can be seen on the web somewhere. But not this big. And not this loud. Enjoy!”
